No sales pitch — just what we would tell you on the phone.
How often should gutters be cleaned in the Portland area?
Once a year is the minimum here, and that is if you have little tree cover. With firs or big-leaf maples over the house, twice a year is realistic — once after the leaves drop in late autumn, once in spring. Douglas fir needles are the worst offender because they drop year-round and pack down into a mat that water will not move.
Do you pressure wash roofs?
Not composition shingle. A pressure washer strips the granules off the surface and takes years off the roof — it looks great for a season and costs you a roof. We remove moss by hand and treat what is left. Pressure washing is for concrete, pavers, decks, fences and siding, and we do plenty of that.
Will the moss come back?
Eventually, yes — this is the Pacific Northwest. But a proper hand removal plus treatment buys you a long stretch, and a lot of our customers just have us back on a yearly rotation so it never gets bad enough to be a real project again.
Do you really send photos?
Every job. Your roof is the one part of your house you never actually look at, so a written invoice does not tell you much. Before and after shots do. Several of our reviews mention it and it is the part people seem to appreciate most.
What does it cost?
It depends on the roof — size, pitch, how many storeys, how much moss, and how reachable the gutters are. That is why we do free bids rather than quoting a flat rate that turns out to be wrong. Call or text a couple of photos of the house and we will give you a straight number.
Do you handle steep or multi-level roofs?
Yes. Steep pitches, hillside lots, shake roofs and multi-level houses are a normal part of the week for us. If it is genuinely not safe to walk we will tell you that instead of guessing.
What areas do you cover?
Gresham, Troutdale, Fairview, Wood Village and the east side of Portland are the core, plus Clackamas, Happy Valley, Boring and Sandy, and we go across to Beaverton and the west side for larger jobs. Use the area checker above or just call and ask.
Do I need to be home?
Not usually. Exterior work does not need anyone inside, and since we send photos when the job is finished you can see the result without being there. Just let us know about gates, pets, or anything you want us to keep clear of.
